This is a shot of a peony I took at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens in Birmingham Alabama, after getting caught in a rainstorm. The thunder , lighting, wind and rain had me running for cover. After the rain I ventured out  to shoot more photographs. I noticed most of the flowers look more vibrant and alive after the hard rain. Some looked very drenched  and I doubt survived such a strong rain. I think the raindrops added a little something extra to an already beautiful flower.
